Dr. Ashley Yip

Biography

Dr. Yip established Nanaimo Rheumatology in 2023 to help address the growing need for specialized rheumatology care on Vancouver Island.

She has advanced expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which she uses to improve the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. Dr. Yip has completed additional certification in ultrasound through both the Canadian Rheumatology Ultrasound Society and the European League Against Rheumatism, reflecting her commitment to high-quality, modern care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Yip is a competitive triathlete and has been racing all distances—from sprint to Ironman—for over 15 years.
