Booking Your Appointment
When we receive a referral, we determine how urgently the person needs to be seen based on the information provided in the referral letter. If you are curious about the triage process, you can find more information here
If you have a question about your referral, please contact the clinician who referred you. Please do not call our clinic.
When it is time for you to book your appointment, our clinic will email you a booking link. If you do not use email, our staff will phone you.
Important Forms
One week before your appointment, you will receive an appointment reminder by email. This email contains important forms for you to complete. The forms take 5-15 minutes to complete. You cannot save your progress when completing these forms. Set aside enough time to complete them at once. This information helps the doctor prepare for your visit.
If you do not have email, you will receive a phone call reminder. Arrive to your appointment 10-15 minutes early in order to complete the forms.
Our team will review the responses on your form and the information provided by the clinician who referred you. We also review all relevant blood work and imaging.
What to Bring
Please bring the following to your appointment:
- Provincial Health Card or Services Card
- Comfortable clothing. Please wear clothes that allow you to show the affected body part easily.
- For women with upper body issues (shoulder, elbow), please bring or wear a sports bra or tank top.
- For those with a lower body issues (hip, knee, foot, ankle) please wear or bring shorts.
Arriving to Your Appointment
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to find parking. We are near the hospital, so parking can be difficult to find. There is a parkade in the Colville Medical building for $1 per hour. The parkade is a few blocks from our clinic.
Our clinic typically runs on time. If you miss your appointment time, you may not be seen and may be marked as a no show.
What To Expect
During your appointment, the doctor will take a focused history and perform a tailored physical exam. The doctor may use ultrasound to make a diagnosis, if needed.
If your visit was complicated, the doctor will provide you with a written or emailed summary of the plan.
